Allantoin
Allantoin helps to hydrate, soothe, and improve your skins overall texture and appearance.We love incorporating this into our cosmetics for a soothing, silky feel with skin loving benefits.
Argan Oil
Argan oil's vitamin E and antioxidants are thought to help protect the skin from environmental damage and free radicals and also help with elasticity.
Boron Nitride
Boron Nitride provides a smooth texture and helps to improve spreadability and blendability. It's non-toxic, non-irritating and safe for sensitive skin.
Dimethicone
Dimethicone is non comedogenic helps improve the skin's smoothness and flexibility by filling gaps between the cells in the uppermost layer of your skin.
We use Dimethicone to form a barrier on the skin that helps minimizes water loss and keep the skin feeling velvety smooth. It can also help hide pores and fine lines.
Cranberry Oil
Cranberry Oil has Omega 3, 6 & 9 fatty acids not found elsewhere in natural oils as well antioxidants, making it a fantastic choice for non comedogenic face and body oils.
Caprylyl Glycol
Caprylyl Glycol is a type of alcohol that's derived from fatty acids found in coconut and palm oil. Its typically used and a preservative, humectant and stabilizer.
Candelilla Wax
This wax id derived from the leaves of the Candelilla Shrub which native to northern Mexico and the southwestern United States. We use it to help harden lipsticks, thicken oils, etc.
Carmine
Carmine is a red pigment derived from insects native to South America and Mexico. Carmine has been used for literally thousands of years! Its versatile, natural and adds a deep gorgeous red that you can't find with anything else.
Carmine is not vegan, so if this is a concern for you, please be sure to check the ingredient labels. We have plenty of other gorgeous colors to choose from!
Carnuba Wax
Carnuba Wax is both hypoallergenic and emollient, and helps to add hardness and shine to lip products.
Castor Oil
Castor Oil is thought to penetrate deeply into the epidermis since it has low molecular weight. Its a great oil to use it just about anything that needs shine and moisture!
Cetearyl Alcohol
Cetearyl alcohol acts as an emulsifier and helps prevent the oil and liquid in creams from separating. It l leave the skin soft, and moisturized. It also helps trap water and provides a soothing feel to the skin.
Dicaprylyl Carbonate
Dicaprylyl carbonate isa colorless, odorless emollient, solvent, and skin-conditioning agent used in cosmetics and skincare products.
Flake Resin
Flake Resin, also known as Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Polypropyl Silsesquioxane, provides excellent transfer and wash-off resistance, with a flexible film for long-lasting, long-wearing, cosmetic.
Glycerin
Glycerine is a humectant and emollient and is used in a wide variety of cosmetics and toiletries.
Our glycerine is vegetable derived and vegan.
Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic Acid is amazing at adding hydration to the skin and can improve the look of fine lines and aging.
Hexylene Glycol
Hexylene Glycol is a solvent, humectant, and viscosity agent that improves the texture and stability of products.
Iron Oxide
Iron Oxides are found in nature but almost all oxides used in cosmetics are synthetic. Natural Oxides have too many heavy metals to be safely used. They are known for known for their rich, earthy hues.
Isododecane
Oh, Isododecane. How did we ever live without you?
This stuff is the answer to mattifying and adding emollience simultaneously. Its a fast drying oil thats non comedogenic, leaves a silky smooth dry after feel and just makes every product that much better.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba Oil is actually a liquid wax similar to human sebaceous which makes it a great non comedogenic choice for face and body products.
MCT Oil
MCT Oil (Medium Chain Triglycerides) are thought to help with elasticity, have anti-aging benefits and help to moisturize and improve the skin's youthfulness.
MCT oil is non comedogenic and gentle on the skin. Although sometimes used synonymously, MCT Oil and Coconut Oil are not the same thing.
Mica
Mica is a soft mineral that has a beautiful natural pearlescent shine. We use micas in almost all of our products to give it that signature sparkling glow.
We ONLY use ethically sourced mica from suppliers that have documents clearly stating that they are fair trade, cruelty free, and child labor free/forced work free. Human rights and ethical sourcing always come first.
Microcrystalline Wax
Microcrystalline wax is a byproduct of petroleum crude oil and is a common ingredient in cosmetics, including lip products.
Nylon 12
Nylon 12 is a great substitute for talc, and has a similar soft skin feel. Unlike talc, Nylon 12 is noncomedogenic and hypo-allergenic. It has so many uses. Its a magical ingredient that we cant get enough of!
Octyldodecanol
Octyldodecanol is a smooth, silky, colorless, emollient oil that it used to keep ingredients from separating while imparting a cushiony soft feel.
Parfum
Parfum is the common name for fragrance in products. We use a variety of different materials both natural and synthetic, to create our unique and gorgeous scents. Scents like Musk and Ambergris and animal derived, therefor we choose to use the vegan synthetic kinds.
They are all ethically sourced and of the highest quality, enabling you to experiment, embrace and fall in love with each scent and still feel good about it.
Peptides
Peptides are incredible for helping with wrinkles, fine lines, skin smoothing, plumping and so much more!
Phenoxyethanol
Plum Seed Oil
O..M..G. This stuff is amazing! Plum oil is produced from crushing the fruits seeds and extracting the fragrant golden liquid from inside.
Plum oil helps hydrate, plump and moisturize the skin, leaving a beautiful natural scent of black cherries and almonds. Yum.
Polyamide-8
Polyamide-8 isa synthetic polymer that helps with making cosmetics water and transfer proof as well as add emollience and skin conditioning.
Polybutene
She thicc. Reeeeal thicc.
Polybutene is a thick, sticky liquid used in the making of lip gloss and other cosmetics. Its vegan, gluten free and non toxic.
Polyhydroxystearic Acid
Polyhydroxystearic Acid is a soft, pliable wax that's used in many cosmetics and personal care products. We sometimes use it to thicken oils for body care and for lip products.
Pomegranate Oil
Pomegranate Oil is thought to reduce inflammation, protect against sun damage, and improve skin tone. It has antioxidants antioxidants that can help break down free radicals and is non comedogenic.
Potassium Sorbate
Potassium sorbate isa white, odorless, and tasteless salt that is used as a preservative in food, drinks, and personal care products
Propanediol 1,3
Propanediol 1,3, is a natural, green, renewable alternative for propylene glycol. It is derived from corn sugar. We use it as a humectant, solvent and a preservative booster.
Propylene Carbonate
Propylene carbonate is a synthetic solvent commonly used in cosmetics.
Stearalkonium Hectorite
Stearalkonium Hectorite is created through a reaction between hectorite clay and stearalkonium chloride, a cationic quaternary ammonium salt. Its commonly used in cosmetics as a suspending agent that helps disperse solids in liquids.
Silica Microspheres
Silica is a natural mineral used in cosmetics for adhesion, slip, glide and blurring effects. When its applied on the skin, its light diffusing qualities help give you a real-life airbrushed effect.
Stearic Acid
Stearic Acid is a fatty acid used to emulsify, stabilize and bind raw materials in lotions and creams.
It's also used in lip products to add volume and body. You want that liquid lipstick thiccer than a snicker?
Stearic Acid is your guy.
Ultramarines
Ultramarine is a mineral derived pigment that is intensely blue. Its deep, rich, and completely captivating.
We use this color in our pressed shadows and cream liners.
Ozokerite Wax
Ozokerite wax isa naturally occurring mineral wax that is used in cosmetics and personal care products as a binding, stabilizing, and viscosity-controlling agent
Polyisobutene
Polyisobutene is a binder, film former, and viscosity-increasing agent Its also used as an emollient to moisturize and protect skin.
Dl-Alpha Tocopherol
DL-alpha-tocopherol isa synthetic form of vitamin E that has antioxidant properties. Its typically used in oil based cosmetics to help with oxidization and help keep them fresher for longer.

BHA and BHT
BHA and BHT are synthetic antioxidants used in food, cosmetics, and other products as a preservative.
- BHA Some studies have linked BHA to reproductive issues, immune system changes, and hormone disruption.
- BHT Long-term exposure to high doses of BHT can cause liver, thyroid, and kidney problems, as well as lung function and blood coagulation issues. BHT can also act as a tumor promoter in some situations.
Formaldehyde and Formaldehyde Releasers
Formaldehyde and formaldehyde releasers are used in cosmetics as preservatives against bacterial contamination and to prolong the products shelf-life.
These chemicals are known to cause cancer at even very low levels. Because of this, any amount you are exposed to, potentially puts you at risk.
We never use these chemicals in our products and would implore everyone to try and eliminate products containing these carcinogens.
Hydroquinone
Hydroquinone is an organic compound with many uses, including skin lightening.
- Hydroquinone is very toxic and can be fatal if ingested. It can also cause skin irritation, eye irritation, and other adverse effects.
- Hydroquinone is a probable carcinogen, and there is some evidence that it can cause skin tumors in mice.
- Hydroquinone is banned in some countries, including the EU, Australia, and Japan.
Parabens
Studies show that Parabens act like estrogen in the body which can lead to some major health issues for people. Thats why to be on the safe side, we choose to pass on Parabens and use alternative and safer preservatives when needed.
Phthalates
Phthalates are colorless, odorless, oily liquids used mainly as solvents and stabilizers in products with fragrance but are also found in color cosmetics.
Theres confusing information out there on phthalates. Some studies have shown they cause reproductive and or developmental toxicity and cancer, some studies have shown that the low levels used in products are safe.
In our opinion, theres not enough convincing evidence out yet determining if phthalates are actually safe.
Because of this, we choose not to use them in our products.
PFAS
PFAS are used in many products and break down slowly over time. Some studies in humans suggest that certain PFAS may be associated with fertility issues and pregnancy-induced hypertension/preeclampsia, increased cholesterol and changes in the immune system.
Triclosan
Triclosan isa chemical that prevents bacterial growth and is used in many products, including soaps, cosmetics, and household items.It was originally developed as a surgical scrub.
- Direct exposure to triclosan has been associated with skin irritation and contact dermatitis
- Some research suggests that triclosan may promote the growth of drug-resistant bacteria.
Unethically Sourced Materials
At Frankie and June, we feel very strongly about being as kind as we can and standing up for the rights of not just animals but humans too.
That's why we only use ingredients from reputable suppliers who are cruelty free and do not use any means of child/slave labour in outsourcing their mica and other materials we use to make our cosmetics.
