Frequently Asked Questions | Frankie and June
Have a question about our products, ingredients, or shipping? You'll find answers to some of the most common questions below. If there's something we haven't covered, feel free to reach out.
What is Frankie and June all about?
Frankie and June is an independently owned cosmetics brand based in St. Petersburg, Florida. We specialize in handmade indie beauty products, with a particular love for iridescence, color-shifting pigments, and multidimensional finishes.
Our products are designed for people who enjoy experimenting with makeup, whether that's a subtle shimmer or something a little more unconventional. We also take pride in creating easy-to-use products that don't require special tools, skills, or complicated application techniques to get beautiful results.
What ingredients do you leave out of your products?
We believe understanding what goes into a cosmetic formula is more useful than simply labeling ingredients as "good" or "bad."
We carefully consider the purpose, safety, and suitability of the ingredients we use, and there are certain ingredients we've made a conscious decision to leave out of our formulations.
Our Ingredients page includes a section called "Ingredients You'll Never See Us Use in Our Products," where we explain what we exclude and why. We also provide ingredient information so you can make informed choices about the products you're using.
Do you use microplastic-free glitter?
Yes! In fact, we ONLY use microplastic-free glitter. All our products, from our Fever Dream Liquid Eyeshadows to our Glitter Rx collection, uses plastic-free effect pigments, including synthetic mica, instead of conventional PET glitter.
We chose these materials because they allow us to create intense shimmer, reflective finishes, and color shifts without relying on conventional plastic glitter.
Where does your mica come from, and is it ethically sourced?
We use synthetic mica in approximately 98% of our products. Unlike natural mica, synthetic mica is manufactured rather than mined.
Natural mica mining has been associated with child labor and unsafe working conditions in certain regions. By using predominantly synthetic mica, we significantly reduce our reliance on mined mica.
For the remaining 2% that contains natural mica, we work exclusively with vetted suppliers who can provide documentation supporting their ethical sourcing practices, including measures to prevent child and forced labor.
We also recognize that ethical sourcing involves more than simply choosing between natural and synthetic materials. That's why we consider supplier transparency and sourcing practices when selecting our ingredients.
Are your products cruelty-free?
Yes! Frankie and June does not conduct or commission animal testing on our finished cosmetic products, and we exclusively source our raw materials from cruelty-free suppliers.
Cruelty-free formulation is an important part of how we approach making cosmetics, from selecting ingredients to developing our finished products.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! We offer free standard shipping on eligible U.S. orders of $45 or more.
US orders below $45, shipping costs are $7 flat fee for Standard and $20 for Express.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Our cosmetics are handmade in small batches, so processing times may vary depending on order volume and product availability.
Once your order ships, you'll receive tracking information so you can follow its progress.
Shipping estimates are displayed at checkout.
What does "clean beauty" mean for Frankie and June?
There's no universally accepted definition of "clean beauty," which is why we prefer to focus on ingredient transparency rather than broad labels.
We believe that natural doesn't automatically mean safer, and synthetic doesn't automatically mean harmful.
Our approach is to understand the ingredients we're using, consider their purpose within each formula, and provide customers with information about what goes into our products.
Can I buy Frankie and June products wholesale?
Yes! Frankie and June is available for wholesale through Faire. You can also email us directly at info@frankieandjune.co

We're mindful of packaging waste, but we don't claim that all our packaging is environmentally friendly or sustainable.
